I start up Lords of Xidit and it allows only Strong. How does that make any sense? It would be better to use my regular setup. Why not?

I will say up front that I didn't join that group or try out the automatic lobby, mostly because I don't like things that are automatic and it's pretty much a given I wouldn't like it.

But I am wondering about some things. Has this thing gone live? Because I don't see any way to set it to automatic, nor do I see that I'm set on advanced. (Even though I obviously am.)

Also wondering about the compatibility. For instance, there's a Troyes invitation for 2 players for beginners only. Could that be someone who set an automatic invite, specifying 2 player, and they are a beginner so it automatically just says beginners on it? Or can they not make invites? I'm just thinking, what if they "prefer" 3 player but 4 player is "acceptable." I can't see that they could make an invite and then the thing could change. Or, is this only for them to take invites? Like someone who was a beginner had a preference for 3 player but 2 players was acceptable, could be matched up with that invite automatically if the 3 player one doesn't come along? So they are only taking invites?

I think it would also be good to hear from people who both like this idea and want to use it, and people who don't like this idea and why. You've asked people who are already members to test it, but what percent of people like the idea to begin with? Are beginners going to automatically be using this? As a beginner I wouldn't like that, meaning a way to change to "advanced" should be available and obvious to beginners. When I'm new to a site is sometimes when I want the most control, until I learn what is what, what I like and don't, etc. I'd hate coming here new and just getting tossed into a game without seeing what's "out there." If I ever see an "advanced" button, I'm always going to want to find out what that is. ;-)

Advanced lobby (= current one) will be always available to everyone, including beginners.

hello
When I have launch games in the automatic lobby, I something receive invites to tables. If I want to accept the invitation, I get a server error.
Can you solved this and allow me to close all automatic tables at once ?
Thanks

To close all the automatic tables, you just need to click on the red "Cancel" button.

Yes, i know how to cancel.
But if I click on the invitation, I arrive on the table, click to join, get a server error, have to go back to "play", select "automatic mode" and have to cancel all, then go back to the invitation table and join.
A bit complicated, no ?
Would it be simpler if I join a table to cancel all the tables open by the automatic lobby ?

They are, when the table you joined is started by the table admin (ie when you are requested to 'accept' to start the game).

The way this works is very bizarre. If I quit one it starts up another and I wind up drafted into
variations I won't play. Then it ignores a quit. Not starting with a person's normal setup means
then we have to manual expel people and they have wasted their time.

problem: if i select few games and wait, a game starts. i finished this game and go back to the lobby: all the tables created earlier are still open. Shouldnt these tables being closed as i started a game?

It depends. If some other players joined, you won't be waiting at those tables anymore (system makes you quit all tables but the one you started) but those tables stay for the other players who joined.
