Low-ranking on BGG is generally the best recommendation I can see for a game. BGG is a cesspool.

When will you implement Catan ?

Is that even necessary? Catan is the game that got me into playing board games as an adult. And after I started playing other games, I soon realized how crappy Catan really is...

Moving onto other games doesn't make any one game "crappy." Catan is a solid game in its category; most of the hate toward it is just people trying to make others think they're Gaming Nerdier Than Thou.

Just fun this thread turned into an excuse to request other games, especially ones that will never be here. And I have to agree with noknotuntiesitself, especially on the Catan part. I so love when other people decide for me what I should like. (I do have to disagree about BGG being a cesspool, but everyone does still have different tastes.)

Although once a year it does get on the table. Just to experience it again. And indeed notice how crappy Some things are. That said, the interaction can be thrilling.

But once you've played games like agricola or great Western trail, you won't be asking for Catan here.

If you ever played Catan City and knights team play, you will never say this same is crappy.
Team play, 2 vs 2, position 1,3 a team, 2,4 a team. no trade between players, team 22 points wins. It makes the game so wonderful, so many things to think and coop, so many complexity.
If you never tried that play, never say catan is crappy.

Omg I'd pay for all those. But I'm excited for Takara Island, too. Too bad we can't get the original The Edict of King Budeaunia artwork though. Why do the French have to draw such hideous looking characters...

Because... site owners are French?

As other forum users mentioned, licensing is THE most important part for introducing games in BGA.
(So there will be very, very low chance to see Catan or 7 Wonders in BGA)
French or other international publisher is better to contact for owners or developers, I guess.

Also, in this case, this version is easier to access than first edition, written in Japanese and harder to get.
Btw, I prefer original artworks too.

So suddenly this game Has the same problem als Tzolkin did have a while back. On iPad you cant see the whole board because it is covered by the players information. Please fix this quicker then Tzolkin

I have about 200 board games (Agricola, Troyes, Puerto Rico, Carcassonne, Burgundy, Glen More, Andor, etc.) and I like to play Catan with my friends. But it's hard to be in the real table.

I totally agree. A beautiful game is beautiful anyway, and Catan is a beautiful game
