Catan on Bga

Post by serclaudio »

I wrote to ticketsupport-legal@catan.com :

"Good morning. Catan is a beautiful game. I have "Catan", "Catan Histories: Settlers of Americ" and "Catan Card Game".
Why do not you give rights to BGA (Board Game Arena) so that they can implement it on their site too? Thank you,"

Who is interested in having Catan on Bga writes to ticketsupport-legal@catan.com

Thanks ;)

To be 100% accurate, we would BUY a license for Catan if we had the possibility to.

Done.

Hi,
Can you sell Catane's rights to BGA (Board Game Arena) so that they can implement it on their site too?
I know a lot of players would be very happy and would play a lot of games if you do that. I know that Race for the galaxy and Carcassonne is working very well in BGA. And Some games with a lot of interactions like Perudo or Celestia works well too.
Thanks, regards

But also gifted (the license) ;) . They would have the advantage of relaunching the game and making it popular with so many people, some of whom would buy it

I don't think that the Catan people see any need to make the game more popular as in their opinion it is on the peak of popularity.
They have their own online service (probably not free) and thus will most likely not want to loose users to other sites.
The base game is available on brettspielwelt.de, too. Unfortunately their interface is quite terrible.

Yes, on brettspielwelt is terrible. Carcassonne is also present on brettspielwelt, but is much better on Bga.

I would tend to agree.

I haven't been to their site for a while, but at least at one time, some things were free but there were paid accounts as well.
