That's not an error.
If you've been authorized to edit already validated translation it adds 100000 to that count.

Are you sure about this?
Every player with more than 100 approved translations (as far as I remember) is allowed to edit validated strings. So I can do it, but I don't have 100000 translations shown in my profile. Besides, it doesn't seem to be a good way of notifying players that they are allowed to modify validated translations.

Some users were authorized to edit validated translations manually before 100 validated translation count.
You can find those requests in Fixing Validated Translations thread.
In these cases admin added 100000 to the count. I don't know why it had to be 100000 but it happened

I agree, it's not a good way to inform people they can do validated strings, and it confused me as well. (It's just that I asked about it on the Translation forum and not here.) But, I doubt that it's meant to "inform" anyone, because typically if someone gets approved when they're under 100, there's some specific reason for it that has come up on the forums, and Een will tell them he adjusted them and they've already been informed.

As to being 100,000, maybe just cause it's such a ridiculously high number, so that it's not confused with the true number?? Drop the 1 off it and that should be the true number. (Although mine is still not correct but it's not the biggest deal in the world.)

I think I answered elsewhere that this is only technical, don't bother about it.

100 000 is added to the current number in order to get the player above 100. It also allows to remove 100 000 to get back to the correct number later when the player has got more than 100 validated strings by himself. Haven't looked and done that for a while, but sometimes I do

It should be. Please note than only the first time a string gets validated counts (so fixing already validated string doesn't). Otherwise anyone over 100 validated strings could do meaningless changes just to get more points (sadly, it happened).

You are right on principle, but this was a fringe function and it has absolutely no downside that I can see (except answering this question on the forum after 6 years of using it). Better using time to polish main functions than getting a perfect programmer score on things like this IMHO.
