Stone Age - Your scoring is wrong on green cards?

Post by Hendal »

Hey,

In Stone Age - you score differently then the rules I own. With the green cards it is multiplied by the number of green cards you have. You have that. But it says any duplicate cards are worth only 1 point each - and in your scoring the extra cards are also multiplied by the number of extra cards?

I don't mind, I actually kind of think it works fine, but it is different then the official rules.

Just wondering if anyone else pointed it out?

Great game, great online version, thanks for a great site

Hi,

I really think this is the right rules.

From the example in official rules:

Example: Ea player has 5 civilization
cards with different culture symbols =
25 points (5x5).
In addition, he has 1 extra pottery
+ 1 point (1x1) = 26 points.

In the latter example, if this player has 1 extra pottery and 1 extra -anything else-, he gets 4 additional points (2x2)

My rules state:

Multiply the number of different civiilzation cards with the green backgrounds by themselves. If a player has duplicates, each of these is worth just 1 1 extra point. The Player does not score a sencond set.

Bold print right in the rules.

When I have 7 green and 3 duplicates here I get 9 extra points verses just 3 by the rules I have. Not sure if the English American version is different though?

According to the posts on boardgamegeek, the Hans im Glück rules use multiple sets scoring, while RGG rules use the one set plus 1 per extra scoring.

I prefer the multiple sets scoring personally :)
