Complete objective, how?

So, I have the cards to complete an objective. I expected to be able to click on the objective to get the point, but that doesn't seem to do anything. What am I missing?

Objectives are granted for cards you have played (counters in the player panel), not for cards available in your hand

Oh, I see now. The rules say that the cards get 'discarded' to complete the objective, but they mean discarded from a personal stack of played cards, I guess?
That's not a very clearly written rule. :p Maybe makes more sense on the table.

It wasn't clear to me either but thanks for explaining this. I guess this not an issue if you are playing in real life where cards and tiles are standing out from each other whereas here it's almost as if you're playing tiles from your hand.
