I am curious to see what your opinions are on Dice Forge.
Initially, I was turned off by it, because it felt too luck based. I thought it was a slightly more complicated version of Can't Stop. As I've continued playing, I am seeing the strategic aspects of it, especially when playing against higher ranked people.
There seems to be three main strategies:
1. Gold strategy (maximize your number of points by forging your dice with gold, which helps if you are using the Hammer/Cyclops strategy)
2. Cards strategy (maximize your number of points by forging your dice with energy, which allows you to spend your earlier turns buying cards)
3. Victory points strategy (trying to get as many victory points as possible throughout the game by choosing cards like The Great Bear and Tenacious Boar and forging victory tokens onto your dice).
I am also curious to see the percentage of winners based on turn order - I strongly suspect that, in a four player game, the person who goes last does not win very often.
Also, I want to add that I strongly despise The Seagull Magician - worst card ever.
