Real time: specify minutes, seconds?

For most real time servers I have seen, The person who starts the table is allowed more than just two or three time control choices. Sometimes there is a drop down list for minutes of time per game and another list for how many seconds of increment are added per move. Sometimes The user can type in these values. I like to play a real time abstract game with slower time controls that the "slow" option gives. We might get more serious opponents that way. What do you think?
