Create Table URL.

Hi.

Recently I helped make a bunch of tables for a 7 wonders tournament.

Is it possible to an API via a special URL to automatically create tables. So something like:

- you get the jist.

The reply could be the table id.

This would help make user run tournaments and other such user driven special projects.

Mad props to userse Brisbane Roar, MtGO and Jaxxis for making it happen.

But my reasoning behind this request is because making this tournament happen takes a lot of effort in creating tables. One little mistake - boom! you've got a lot of apologies to make.

I also have an 7 wonders project idea where I would need to create 100 tables. Trying not to make a mistake and double checking sounds like a nightmare, so much so I am holding back in trying it.

So is there any chance this could be implemented?

- I have thought of 1 complication BGA end, in that you need to link it to a user account, so maybe that could be added too in the url, creatorid=12345.
- I think it's perfectly legitimate if the table still needs the creator under their account to manually press the 'open table to other players' button on each table.

Hi,

At first, I'd like to thank you for this crazy organization and tournament. It looks really great!

We definitely want this kind of tournaments to be handled automatically using the tournament system (which is not possible at now). So in the future we want:
_ an evolution of the current tournament system to handle this kind of tournament,
_ and/or a framework to allow developers to create their own tournaments system for BGA.

That sounds great, and the tournament scene here is really a thriving part of the website and many people are very attracted to tournaments so any changes would be most welcome.

Maybe the table url page though could be a stepping stone before you implement a tournament revamp.

So as a c# developer I would write a program to help send out all of the new table requests.
To give you some ideas of the page usage. Off the top of my head:

1. More of the 7 wonders tournaments like the Grand Prix hosted by Brisbane Roar in the 7 wonders addicts group.

2. A different 7 wonders project where 7 people play all the different combinations of number of players (3-7) with all different combinations of players. So this is 99 different tables all together.

3. An amalgamation of different games. So Chess, Chequers, Quarto, Kahuna, LITS and other 'abstract'' games. OR Tzolkin, Nippon, StoneAge and other combinations of longer games. I forget the person but someone else has also been doing this.
