Anyone experiencing sever slow server?

For furture for me, is there a log I could/should have checked on this?

you could try and start a different game to see if that takes a long time.

No, unfortunately this is pretty low level so not reported in the logs available to devs in the studio (no reference to the game in the log so no way to bubble it up). So you were right to ask

Ok next time I won't wait for hours then. At least I am back to working and an even BETTER solution is to not write crap code!
