BETA: Arena mode (Season 0 - BETA)

Hi. I am enjoying the idea of Arena mode but unfortunately since I play primarily on a tablet it is too buggy to play games, and it has corrupted Simple mode as well. Please see bug report with screen shots.

I really, really want to see all the available tables for a specific game in the lobby, whether they're Arena games or not.

All this in and out of Arena mode, it's so annoying and fiddly.

I have to say, for Puerto Rico (my favourite BGA game) I feel Arena is not an improvement. I have been (intensively) playing Arena mode for a couple of days now and I have found most matchups rather uneven, while at the same time it seems there are less players available for the regular games. I have reached the 1st spot now, but it doesn't really feel like I have achieved something, just that I have played a lot of games against rather weak opponents.

Dans la pratique: on ne doit plus validé quand on lance une partie... bilan: je lance une recherche... passé quelques minutes (plus de trois quart d'heure avant hier pour terra mystica) on regarde ailleurs, va chercher a manger, discute, surfe un peu en jetant un oeil de temps en temps... et vlan la partie se lance, on est pas la pendant les 3 minutes cruciales, et on se fait chasser... ma reput qui est jamais tombé sous les 90% en presque 10 ans est a 20% en 3 jours... pourquoi? parce que j'ai une vie et que je peux pas rester devant l'écran jusqu'a ce qu'une partie soit hypothétiquement trouvée... on m'a dit "j'ai qu'a coupé la recherche quand je suis pas la" ben tiens, j'attend une demie heure, je coupe, je relance je me reprend une demie heure dans les dents...
Bilan: j'attend encore un peu, et quand je serai a 0 et qu'on voudra plus de moi, je quitterai le site, apres je sais plus combien d'années (surement 10 ans je dis) donc voila... a bientot sur un autre site de jeu probablement

The problem with Arena us that you have NO say on who you play and can't see who is available. I don't want to play the same person 3 times in a row!

There is no real difference between Arena and non-Arena games here: if you are away from the keyboard, you MUST switch off the game research. If you don't, it will piss off the other players, whether you are in Arena or non Arena mode. I'm sorry to say that, but if you regularly launch game research while being away from keyboard, you deserve your low reputation...

Would it be possible to eliminate the option the forces you to join a game automatically?
It would have been much better to return to the "old" start button

I have been drafted 4 times in a row to the same opponent. Is it possible to rule this out? Thanks

UPDATE (January 22th): Arena mode is frozen.

Following your (numerous) feedback, we want to take some time to analyze and maybe change some aspects of the Arena mode.

About the rankings you get: for now, there is no reason to do any reset/update on them. They are just "frozen" for the moment.

We don't have a date to communicate for the end of the "freeze": we want to be 100% satisfied by the Arena mode, so it will last as long as necessary.
