Having trouble creating a studio account

The first time I tried to create a studio account I got an timeout error (or something similar, I didn't record the error message. )

So I tried again and got this error message

Unexpected error: Error while processing SQL request: INSERT INTO w_studio_developer (sd_name,sd_register,sd_password,sd_bganame,sd_firstname,sd_lastname,sd_email,sd_address) VALUES ('stevetrov', NOW(), '', 'SteveTrov', 'Steve', 'Trevorrow', 'stevetrov@hotmail.com', '87 Devon Avenue\nCheltenham \nUk' ) Duplicate entry 'stevetrov' for key 'PRIMARY'

This suggested that it may have created my account after all, so I tried to reset my password, but never received the password reset email.

Next I tried to create an account with another user name but got the follow error message:

Server syntax error: Database user wasn't existing...

It looks to me like it may have half created my account but not completed the process. Could someone have a look and see if you can tidy up this mess.

I had the same problem when I joined, but finally found the email had been sent and was hidden in my spam folder - you might want to check there just in case.

seems like some credentials informations is needed on your new server to connect to SMTP !

Yes, this is probably due to the maintenance yesterday morning. I have updated it now. Of course the studio is not the priority these days, so it may lag a little behind

Indeed, another effect of maintenance, new mailer version with a default creating unexpected consequences. Fixed now, thanks!

EDIT: btw I checked and accounts were not created due to the error, so you can just create the account again and it should work now.

sorry for piggy-backing on this, but I too am having problems with a new studio account. I filled out the form, received the "[BGA Studio] Welcome on BGA Studio" email, and can login to SFTP. However, I can't log in to the main studio website. It says my username/password is incorrect ("Ooops, we don't recognize your username or password. Don't panic."), but if I try "forget password", it says "Unkown email" [yes, Unknown is mispelled].

Username is mikeage, just like here. Email is available by PM; would rather not post it in clear.
