Group Notifications

My suggestion is an option allowing members of a group to receive notifications EVERY time a post or comment is made on the group's page.
Currently members only receive a notification in response to their own post or comment.

I suggest a choice;
Receive a notification to all new posts
Receive a notification to all posts and comments
Receive notifications only to threads I have participated in (current)

I get a notification when people post comments to the group, however I'm the group admin so perhaps that skews things?

Does that mean people don't normally see these messages?

Correct, they don't see what you post unless they happen to look at the group page. I am also a group admin. Every time I post an announcement that everyone in the group probably wants to hear, I also have to pm every member of the group that there is a new post. I know of a lot of other group admin who have this same complaint, as well as many players who are in groups and wish there was notification.

There are numerous issues surrounding groups. They seem like a half-implemented feature. Do we know if it's something the BGA admins care about improving?

Your first couple links are to posts by Caninski_Jen, a friend of mine. The problem is she is in 20 groups that all have events from time to time. She can either miss a large % of them by not seeing the announcements, or she can go look at 20 group pages every day which is usually a waste of time.

If she got a notification when a new post happened, it would solve a lot of frustration.


On your very last link, I believe the comments there are incorrect. Nobody in the group is getting notifications when there is a new post.
