My beef with Google Translate

Post by purpura »

Hey!

I've noticed several times that when I correct Google Translate translations the next time I come back to translate it shows "translated by Google Translate" under them. Does it mean I won't get credit for my work and Google Translate gets all those gift points? :?

Well, maybe, but I'm not aware it used points for premium yet
Can you provide a detailed example?

Well keep your eyes open for that Premiumship application!

But I can't recall any exact example right now since they don't appear on the page anymore. I'll try to pay attention when it happens again. Just thought it was a common problem people are having.

I'll keep watching! :)

Anyway, what I understand of what you said shouldn't happen. In any case if the mention of Google Translate disappears when refreshing the page, your translation has been properly linked to your player profile and it was only a temporary display glitch.

Did you mean that somebody overwrote your corrections with the original version and a comment "translated by Google Translate", as if that was an imperative, Google Translate is always right and you're wrong?
