Group privacy problem

Post by Caninski_Jen »

I would like to discuss about the privacy settings of BGA group and my thoughts about it.

A private group means that only members can see who is in the group and what they are posting. And yet this is not the case. If we look at the homepage or go to someone's profile, we can always see what they have posted in a certain group. This gives the feeling of a "closed group" rather than a private group, which can lead to misunderstandings or other dramas. I propose that all private group's communications stay within the group and are not able to be accessed/read outside of the group

I agree. Private group does not work as it is intended. If you look at a player's home page you can read every comment they have made in a private group AND what every other player in that private group posted or commented.

I agree. Why would it be a private group if the information is not private? I think this is something that needs to be addressed soon.

Not only can I read everything your private group said, but I can post a reply on every thread. Just like I'm in the group.

I agree, there definitely think there needs to be a way for groups of people to communicate privately on bga. Creating a "playing with" party works for one time occasions with a small number of people. But for people who wants to communicate regularly and in bigger numbers, the groups structure is already there and works great. Completely private needs to be an option.

Yes I have noticed this issue too and agree it needs to be resolved ASAP. Thanks for taking the time to get the process started :).

This is a very good point. I have never encountered problems myslef because of this before but I can see how it can be wery problematic to others.

I will agree with you. a private group must remain private and only members must have access to conversations. This can be done with one option and each team creator chooses whether everyone or only members can see it.

I agree 100% ! I can read posts from so many groups i am not in and im private and I don't think it's fair for those who dont want others to see :D
And now i realise strangers might see posts from my private groups too :D It's definitely something that needs to be fixed!!!!!

The BGA privacy is not the up to the acceptable standards. If a group is private nobody should be able see the activities in that group except the users are in it. Currently, this is not the case.
Another issue is BGA groups need to have the notifications.
