Which (next) game to play/discover on BGA? // Quel jeu découvrir sur BGA

Post by Xapa »

Hi all,

Which game are a MUST on BGA that I have not discovered yet?

When with friends, we often play (quick) games such as:
- 7 Wonders
- Love Letter
- Sushi Go
- Can't Stop
- Diamant
- Coloretto

(that are quite fast to play... 10 min per session or so)

Eventually:
- 6 qui prend / 6 Nimt
- Takenoko
- King Domino
- Les loups-Garous...
- Carcassonne
- The Boss
- Takara Island
(and Quarto, Color Pop, united square, Les bâtisseurs, ...)

We already also played (but personally disliked) Saboteur, Célestia, Red7, Hanabi, Colt Express

SO any suggestions based on that list? :)
*Idealy nice-to-play games when with friends (where we can play and have fun without having to focus 'too much' on what's happening)
*and or nice-to-play game when 'alone' (where you can eventually concentrate better)

Thanks in advance :)!

I recognize quite some games we play in our group.

Thanks for some of the "suggestions", i'll try them out!

Suggestion for you:
Try "For sale": fast, simple, yet still fun, really a 'let's have one more try' kinda game

'Hive' might interest you too, but i still have to play it on BGA...

All fairly light party games:
6 Nimmt, - Take that.
Coup- - Bluff
Stir Fry 18. Bluff.
Perudo. Bluff \ push your luck.
Incan gold. Push your luck.

I'm surprised you don't like Colt Express, it's kind of a thinking man's party game. There is twin-tin bots which is a different programming party game.

ForSale and Kingdomino are perhaps a bit more of an obvious choice, bet less of a party style.

Thanks already for these two suggestions, I'll have a closer look this week (and will let you know :) )

Hi RicardoRix, thanks a lot as well! I will for sure have a closer look as well to all these (it's funny as what I named Diamant is "Incan Gold" in English :) Especially funny when we're all laughing on Skype at the same time; telling others to stop (or to continue as hell !)).

Regarding Colt Express: I actually like the "real board game version", I just found the BGA version maybe a bit too abstract (/hard to vizualize the moves) - but you're right, I'll give it a new chance as I haven't played it here for quite a moment yet :).

Looking forward to test all these new games (I'll come back to you here to let you know :) )

Honestly, I hate people who hate whatever I like.

Some games are descent in your list, but hating sabotour is awkward for me.

Hu Dunowe and RicardoRix,

Just to let you know we already experienced Coup (Complots) and For Sale yesterday night, we all liked them (especially Coup: a friend realized he had been offered the "physical version" of the board game a few weeks before the Great Lockdown... Thank you for your suggestions!. Can't wait to explore your other recco too ;) )

Hi RicardoRix,

A quick update :p

I took the time to look into Stir Fry 18. So far I only played 2 games (where I wish I had more fun), but thank you :)

I also deeped into Perudo, that I enjoyed a lot thanks to the "Chat section" where you can laugh so much while playing (unfortunately it looks like all the players do not understant the bluff aspect... or do not appreciate the Chat while playing. Never mind, it was good fun and I'm sure we'll continue to laugh with my friends :))

I hope you discovered new games as well!

Thanks again, RicardoRix and Dunowe (and to all the readers of this post, do not hesitate to continue sharing your best group games :) )
Have a good day!

Yeah, Perudo is one of the games that I've enjoyed the most in a group. You could also try Secret Moon, which is another great group-based game.
