Looking for regular BGA development partner

Post by Junko »

Hello friends!

Fellow game fan and developer Don Eskridge here~~ I'm the designer of a handful of games, such as The Resistance/Avalon and Spies & Lies: A Stratego Story. I'm writing here because I would like to find a regular BGA development partner for a series of potential prototypes. My goal is to have my games playable by friends and play-testers, and even potential publishers down the road.

I'm hoping to find a developer that I can work with on a regular basis. This will certainly change, but what I imagine right now is finding someone that knows the BGA architecture very well, and that over time will learn some of my design patterns too. Eventually, implementing one of my prototypes might not be too difficult because you will likely be able to borrow some architecture parts from our existing prototypes.

I am guessing that most of the games will be at about the level of complexity of, for example, Koryo or Red7. Some questions I would have:

- Are you excited to work together to make prototypes, maybe at the beginning and middle of each month?
- How long do you think a Koryo-level game would take to implement, in terms of hours/evenings (however you like to chunk)?
- Have you made any games so far on BGA? I'd love to check them out!
- I would like to pay you for your work. Please let me know some ideas and let's see where we can go :)

Another reason for this project is to motivate myself to get designing regularly! It would be great to have that accountability to someone I've made an agreement with around twice a month (at least to start). Let's see where it goes, and I look forward to hearing from you! Please send me a message here on BGA and I'll be happy to share my email to talk further.

Cheers,

Don
