Are there "weighting" mechanics when playing some games?

Post by Aaronaut »

When one has a high rating / proficiency score in a game, does bga try to even things out for everyone to have a chance? So a higher proficiency / ranked person might get "luckier" dice rolls or tiles drawn?

No, random events are purely random and without bias. There are strong developer guidelines about this, mandating the use of the highest possible quality of random number generation.

There is also a relevant FAQ entry.

Thanks.

I was having a lot of struggles in Roll for the Galaxy last night. Felt my white dice were rolling 'ship' more often than they were rolling explore.
