city hall - VP - commercial buildings

Post by Nikolaus87 »

Hi,

I just played a round and was curious about one thing. The bonus of the "city hall" says: 1VP per commercial building.
What is the definition of the commercial building? The real boardgame defines them as "beige builduings" so I assumed it online to be the same.
But turned out it doesn't make sense. One player had the "city hall" with a colonist on it. So in the end he got:

4VP for the card itself
office, library, hospice, wharf, construction hut. I'd say this is a total bonus of 5 beige cards + the city hall itself = 6VP

So in total 10VP for that card+bonus

But the bonus in the end says it's just 6VP. So whichbeige card counts and which does not? Or in other words.. what are the "commercial buidings"

Thanks for help

Building value: 4VP, bonus: 6VP, value+bonus: 10VP.
The term of a sum is not the total. The buildings values are scored immediatly when the buildings are built. What is torturing your mind?

The answer to your question is in your message.

Hi diamant,

sorry.. my mistake. totally confusing. in the end it said 7VP not 6. So I asked myself where did the +1 come from?

I'd understand it when it was 6VP bonus but it says

7VP
Victory points from occupied large buildings or whatever the translation would be in english cause i play it in german.

So now I figured out that it is the total of occupied large buildings.. so he had office, library, hospice, wharf, construction hut, coffee roaster and sugar mill. makes it 7VP cause the coffee and sugar are large productions houses and therefore count as large building in the end.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your quick response
