Developer interest in TMG titles?

Post by sedjtroll »

If anybody is interested in implementing any TMG titles on BoardGameArena, please let me know. I can give permission and art files tot he site.

I'd be happy to see any TMG title implemented! Which is your favorite?

Thanks!

Hello Seth, how do we know what games will be licensed for BGA? I am asking because, for example, Amun-Re is listed on BGG as a Tasty Minstrel Game but I also see that it was originally published by Hans Im Gluck and is listed between those that have had the license refused (https://studio.boardgamearena.com/licensing)

Thanks!

I think the easiest way would be to add available titles to our licenses list on the studio. @sedjtroll, if you send me an email with the titles TMG can give an authorization for, I'll list them as available so that all potentially interested developers see them when browsing the list :D

And thanks a lot for your interest in BGA!

I will find out which of TMG's games we can give permission for (some of the co-productions might not be available) and send you the list.

Sorry, I 'm not too familiar with the process!

Thanks!

The available licenses list for developers in BGA studio has been updated with the list of available TMG licenses compiled by sedjtroll.

So many games! A thousand thank you to sedjtroll and TMG!!!

(NB: other TMG titles than those listed are a maybe that would need some verifications; if you are interested in starting a development project for another title from TMG you can let us know at studio@boardgamearena.com)

I am looking for a first project to learn the BGA Studio platform, and think Martian Dice would be a good one to start with. I really enjoy both Belfort and Homesteaders, and would love to work on those eventually.

Thank you for your interest!

I have sent files to BGA for Martian Dice. I hope they will work for what you need :)

I would love to one day see Homesteaders and Belfort on BGA as well. I can provide art files for both of those (including the New Beginnings expansion for Homesteaders and the Expansion Expansion and Her majesty's Civil Service expansion for Belfort, as well as the promo guilds we made a while back)

Let's see how you get on with Martian Dice - I'm excited to try it out when it's ready!

I am checking to see if we still have the rights for those to grant permission. If so, I'll let BGA know.

If you have a specific TMG game you'd like to implement, I can check to see if there are any licensing issues (for things like co-productions, or games that haven't been in print for a while, we might not have the ability to grant permission for example).

I submitted a list of games to BGA that I CAN grant permission for, and I believe they're listed in the studio now. Other games may also be available, but I'd have to look into it further, so if you want to implement a TMG title that's not on that list, let me know and I'll check into it :)
