Why can’t it be their main account? Boardgamearena moderators can still view all the history if they need to. Some people just don’t want people following them and seeing every move they make every second. Also it’s weird that someone can friend someone and spy on them. At least don’t allow people to befriend someone if the other person doesn’t accept the friend request.

Yes, please! There should be an option to hide activity (for friends as well) in preferences.

Instead of an opt-in BGA added an opt-out option. If you give a user a red thumb you are removed from their friend list and so long as it is applied they cannot add you again. Though the red thumb also prevents them from sending you private messages or from entering tables you are at.
It does not seem to affect arena matchmaking or tournament games.

I highly doubt BGA would allow hiding the game history for ranked and arena games. BGA is reliant upon the reports of the userbase to find cheaters.
