Can't Stop ... is it fair?

Post by GielenDJ »

Don't get me wrong, i like the game. The fact that you have to take a risk to get somewhere and the trill taking the risk.

However, I played the game a couple of times now with friends and people I don't know.... and it's clearly a bogus system.
Most of the time the same player gets invalid throws, while other players get favored by throwing the impossible.
Ex. Only 3 lanes open, and suddenly someone throwing a number (of those lanes) with doubles, 3 to 4 times in a row...

You should expect it to be random for all dice for any throw and any player, without any influence...well i don't buy it. The game is influenced.
I don't know all parameters, but it's clearly in place.

I was wondering if other players have this feeling with this game?
Maybe i'm just paranoia, but i can't be the only one thinking it ... i'm just wondering, is there anyone else?

Please check out the several threads already discussing this in the Can't Stop forums (and backgammon forums, and the forums of any game that has a strong dice mechanic).

The short answer is that nobody who has ever claimed that the random number generator is buggy has ever been able to provide statistical evidence of that.

Most current example where this is discussed: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=40649
One noisy guy spamming „claims“ for a rigged system, while in fact it all isn‘t even rare statistical events. Dont follow the same path please.
