Practice games for friends?

Hello,
I am intending on introducing some friends to Boardgamearena. Where are the instructions about how to host games?

Also, once the game 'starts' I will need to tell my friends out-loud how to play it. However - that will affect the clock! Is there a way to make games 'practice' games among friends?

yes. there are a couple ways.

when you create a table you can change the mode to training mode (in game options on the left). this turns the time off (also turns Elo off, but guessing you won't care about the ratings for an introductory game).

to play with friends (if you've added them as friends on here), you can change the game mode from manual or automatic to friends only. (under play now...simple game, real time, friends only).
