Pretty sure that your request wasn‘t dismissed, but that you got your answer straight away. And we sure are interested to hear what you find out by actually looking at the code, not to talk about if you actually find something that is improvable feasibly.

While you certainly know what you talk about (though I think that‘s all pretty well and satisfyingly explained too on the mentioned FAQ site), it simply is laughable if someone jumps the bandwagon and spams the forum over days with „proof“ blind and death to any reasonings, with occurances that even arent below 10% likelihood.

SluggerBaloney, please forgive us if we misinterpreted your question.

The vast majority of people who have ever asked about the random number generator on BGA follow it with "because something is obviously buggy/not representing reality/flawed/biased with it." Their "proof" tends to be what Pastor Flapps has been doing.

From a technical aspect, all I can say is the standard of programming is reflected in the FAQ. https://boardgamearena.com/faq?anchor=f ... ing_random

The other point to consider is that there is no (or at least shouldn't be any) money being transferred based on the outcome of games of Can't Stop on this site.

My favorite method for determining random numbers I ever saw was from someone who used SETI data. Their explanation was that if it wasn't random, there were bigger issues to deal with than winning a game on their site.
