Why can't I exit when I'm done

I really don't like the way I'm held hostage by this game when I cross the finish line early and there are cars way back on the track. I cannot go and start another game until those cars finish and the game is completely closed out. This can take a long time. The game should let you go play something else if you want to. It makes no sense to not let players go on to something else. Even Coup, which is a much shorter game, works that way. When your done in a game of coup you don't have to stick around and watch the end if you don't want to.
