About visibility, well everyone thinks in different ways. It's difficult to know where to place an information so that it's clearly visible, especially when it's something interesting, but overall, accessory. I just meant to indicate that it was not only in the forums; clearly from your feedback it could be more visible and should use the term "referral".

About semantics, BGA admins are French. Not being native English speakers, indeed we can (and we do) make mistakes in semantics, syntax, and grammar. That's the reason why native English speakers can request changes on the English text in community / help us translate BGA to help us improve the quality of the English version of BGA.

Cheers!
You are welcome of course! I'm just glad it is understood as feedback ("constructive criticism") and not just criticism. I just helped a small board game publisher with some proofreading of a translation, so maybe that state of mind doesn't go away so easily. I am happy to help to here as well.

You didn't directly answer the first question about the 'footer', so I think I that suggests that the 'Contribute to BGA' link is what you were referring to being there. Ok, no problem. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something else.

And I didn't clearly ask a question, so I will rephrase: How long after an account's creation can it be linked for sponsorship/referral?

Concerning functionality, I suggest you move the rewards (the sponsorship/referral program and the "Play all games!" links) from the Contribute page (because they're not really contributions) to a separate 'rewards' page, and that page should include a category/link for rewards you get from contributing. That way it still shows all the ways you can get rewards, while the contribution page focuses on volunteering. Does that make sense?

I did not realize you are all French! You've done quite an impressive job with all the English work. How do you want language issues submitted - as bug reports or somewhere else?

This is usually where I would say Cheers! but you already claimed that, so I'm at a loss...

Well I just wish all feedback was as clearly constructive as yours. Good job on that :)

Yes, I was referring to the black footer displayed at the bottom of all the website pages.

Not sure if I remember exactly, but I think we were pretty lax about this, something like 15 days.

Not sure. We'll probably reorganize this page to make some things more noticeable, and maybe split it, but not right now.

Actually a lot of volunteer developers are from many different countries.
Change requests for English strings can be submitted from Community / Help us translate by selecting English as the source and destination language. Some players have helped us a lot this way to improve our "French English" :D

Hi I'm trying to invite my friends to play without them making an account but it doesn't seem to be working due to being down for auditing? Is there a fix for that? I've tried using the sponsorship link but it also wants them to make accounts.

Yes, at the moment an account is needed.
The functionality to play without an account was not properly tested and was broken. It needs an overhaul, and we don't know when we'll have the time to do that.

So please tell your friends to create an account. It's pretty quick! :)

I'm not new and had no idea this existed until I happened to see this thread, and I don't read the forums that much. For those who are not following information about premium accounts, this isn't obvious in the least. Think about pages where everyone is more likely to go and see something like this, I don't know, maybe their profile. I've just invited several people here, three of whom have gotten premium memberships, and some of whom have been playing a fair amount, but not knowing about this, I get no gift points for it. (And it's way, way over 15 days.) I don't care that much about the gift points - just making a point that it's definitely not visible.

The title of the thread is also misleading, because it's just a new way to get gift points. You could already do that, and you already get a month premium for hitting 100 points. The only real difference here is that 20 points is a lot to get at once. But the title saying "and get Premium for free!" is misleading because it sounds direct. It really should say "and get gift points" since that is what really happens.
