[BETA ENDED] Potion Explosion - an award winning potion brewing game!

Welcome to Potion Explosion!

I have the pleasure of bringing the game Potion Explosion (from Horrible Guild) to Board Game Arena! It won the 2016 Gioco dell'Anno award and is super addictive. After 30 minutes playing this game you will be hunting your gardens for some spare ingredients, such as Ogre Mucus, to make sure you are ready to kick off the next round of frenzied potion brewing!

Horrible Guild are also currently running a kickstarter for their latest version of Railroad Ink: Go check it out!

This is a very colourful game and great fun to play - I hope you enjoy it.

Hi,
The French rules pdf is hosted on an unsecured website (risk of "downgrade attack" according to "HTTPS Everywhere").
It would be better to move the file to a better secured webpage

The game is extremely slow on my computer (compared to other games I am playing on BGA). Running on Safari.
Does other have same experience ?

My friend and I played a couple rounds of 2 player and find it to be a great game. Everything seems to function properly so far

Here is a suggestion that could help to smooth the gameplay: when it is your turn to play, I noticed that the interface let you select as many marbles as you want, instead of forcing you to select only the amount you are allowed to play.

e.g.:
- if there is no active potion, then there is no reason for the interface to let me select more than 1 marble from the dispenser as I can only pick one.
- if a potion allows to select max 2 marbles then the interface should only keep the last 2 marbles selected.

Anyway, that may not be so easy to code as you don't want that kind of rule to prevent you from playing a legit move.

I cannot get Prismatic Joy to work. Is anyone else having problems? I select the potion but when I go to move the potions I get a red error saying that the potions are the wrong color.

Prismatic joy only works on ingredients in your pool (the flask). Make sure you have filled the flask first and then try using the potion : you should find it works fine then.
