I was so excited to see palace added. I loved that game in high school.
I was just thrown off by how the game was played. Even looking at the "how to play" rules were off. They weren't aligned with how the game was played on the site.
I think we should have variants like are found in toc.
Some examples:
2- the 2 can be played followed by any cards you wish to play after it (It is difficult keeping a 2, then the next player plays a high card, and your 2 is wasted).
7- the same idea as the 2, but you cannot play a card lower than a 7.
10- you can play the 10 on 9, J, Q, K, A... it is bad to have a card that clears the pile, but you can only play it on cards that are of lower value...
And obviously, an option that allows you to to choose the number of cards. I am used to having only 3 cards in your hand, and only three cards faced down on the table.
Another option is to turn any of these rules on or off. I was very thrown off about the 9 rule because I never saw it before.
