The statements for the poll options are very specific, and would misrepresents any other differing reasoning.

Such indicators don't give any assistance in regard to the order in which you place your dice, which is the more strategic part of the game in lieu with the risk assessment of the die rolls.

This should also be of little to no use for those who are proficient in the game.

+1

The term "mistake" must be understood in the 1st degree; not a strategical mistake that just theorically decrease your odd of winning, but a systematic one in a sense of if you do it, you crash no matter what.
That would not ever happen in a IRL game, unless the player would choose to crash willingly for tactical reasons (and that is still permitted by the UI).

Do you mean that it's forbidden IRL to play a higher die than permitted ?
In fact, No and the result is a Loss Of Control...

Arena mode is a Competitive Mode, not a Child Mode.

+1 on no signals

Will make it a bit more challenging to not notice the overspeed

No, I clarely state than the player still can crash willingly, both IRL and on the BGA adaptation.
My point is in live game if you would place the die that would crash you while you don't want to, just a field aside a correct one, you would certainly adjust this when you or an opponent effectively notices the mistake (if this mistake is even spotted anyway).

I see no reason why it would be different in the BGA adaptation, which should recreate the live experience as far as possible in my opinion, hence the warning. This argument have already been raised several times in the main thread by someone else.
These warnings give no tactical advice whatsoever, these are merely warnings; this is not an IA babysitting the poor player.

In other games, and even on Arena tables, warnings are usually raised in situations where the player could be about to do an obvious mistake (generally using a confirmation dialog). There are many examples: marking +0 in Yahtzee, ending their turn when there are still actions to be done in Dice Forge, using some card or some potion that would have no effect, etc. The player can of course ignore that warning if it is their true intention to do that move.
I don't see why this should be different with Rallyman GT.

This game is about true tactic. Not a challenge of who will be the most focussed on these warning limits, because that is not what the live game is.

I'm not 100% sure you 'would" be able to move aside your 'mistaken' die in a big competition...

Arena is supposed to be the competitive mode in BGA, no ?

I get your point.
But since there is no IRL tournaments as far as I know, I'd rather see the design through the "casual" game.

If you would like to normalize that, all other games that warn the player would be the exception then...

I don't want to normalize anything.
I really doubt the hints are the way the game is played IRL, that's all.

There were no hints, no tooltips at first...
Mistergos had to add magnifying glass and hints because some players did not see the limits while playing on mobiles.
He also had to add tooltips everywhere...

I did play with him and JCBouvier in early versions...
They had a lot of fun when the noob i was crashed because of speed limits.
Rallyman is not supposed to be easy and the game is great because of the massive learn curve.

Warning someone who doesn't know to play is fair and sounds normal to me, but not somebody who's supposed to know how to play. And arena players are supposed to know how to play because they've played a few games to get at least 100 ELO points.

Playing any game means knowing the rules. So, if you know the rules and do any mistake, it's only your fault. And what's the point in playing any game if you don't accept the possibility of losing ? Imagine a football game (or any other sport) where a player tells their opponents what to do or at least what to not do to beat them. That would be so boring, wouldn't it ?

Plus, as said tchobello, arena mode is a competitive mode. People are free to play it or not. If you just want to play "chill", then play a simple game and use any option you want to play with.

And yes, warnings in arena mode are nothing else than an IA babysitting the poor player.
