Set not-training mode as default?

Post by ObiQuiet »

Maybe I'm just not seeing it... is there a way to have (7 Wonders) default to not be Training mode when I create a game? I invariably forget to change that setting and have to abandon and restart the table.

Thank you!

I've been having the same problem, in every game. I posted about it previously but devs don't seem to care.

Same, If I meet a friend here and start a game, I also don't really have a lot of time to adjust that setting as the friend is getting the request immediately and might accept right away.

If you create a table in Manual mode, it should default to your last settings chosen in this mode.

Once you created the table you can invite friends via the "Invite a friend" button below the player slots. You can also click on "Restrict table access" and ->Restrict to group ->My friends.

So you don't necessarily need to use the Friends mode in the top dropdown from the lobby to create a Friends only table. However, this Friends mode in the lobby has the advantage that the friend invitations will be saved and you can easily change between different games and chosen friends will be invited automatically when a new table is created. This is not the case if you create new tables in Manual mode.

First, I rarely play in Training mode and certainly not for the games we played today.

Until today I always used manual mode, usually selecting my friends from just below that, and didn't notice it starting games in Training mode. Today I tried Friends only mode and it started the game in Training mode. Now I'm back to Manual mode and it's still starting in Training mode. In most cases I was able to ask them not to accept until I fixed it.

I have the same issue, drives me up the wall!
My friend also has a Premium account, his always stays in Normal.
I've looked everywhere for a default. I've changed all the games to NEVER in their automatic settings.
Nothing I do seems to fix it.
So many things I wish they would tweak and add settings for in the Preferences profile, there's an opportunity to really make it sing.
Same way I wish the Colour preferences worked when you aren't the person setting up the game. Forever getting colours I don't want.

Hopefully this is fixed up. I found 2 posts in the Suggestions section about it but without anyone else pushing for it, so i'm putting a +1 comment under each of them.

Well, *I* have a premium account and my games in "play with friends" always start in Training mode also. I would like to change that default and do not know how.

This is driving me up the wall too.

I just started a game with some hardcore people and was wondering why suddenly no timers, etc.

I have a premium account and this happened RIGHT AFTER I had another regular game (where I noticed the Training mode and switched it), so it's definitely not "last game"...
