Hungarian Tarokk

Post by LaszloK »

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce that Hungarian Tarokk is now in alpha and awaiting testers.
As hinted at by the name, this is a tarot game played primarily in Hungary. I'm probably biased, but I think it's the deepest, most strategic of all tarot games - possibly even all card games. :)

It requires exactly 4 players so some coordination between interested players may be necessary to get tables going. If you're interested in playtesting, please drop me a PM and I'll try to coordinate.

Thanks in advance for all comments, suggestions, and reviews!

Thanks so much!

Looks good on Studio.
Can't wait to give it a try with real players :D

(Althought don't expect me to play well at first; just played that game once IRL ^^)

Take care,
Woodruff

Avid skat player here from the midwestern u.s. as well as occasional dopplekopf, belote and French tarot player(along with most of your standard American type card games). My friend and I have been learning Hungarian Tarrock and very much look forward to your efforts on here as it is kind of hard to play with just two:). kirk

Hello. Kirk and myself have been trying to get a Hungarian tarokk game together for a couple years now so this is pretty exciting. I would be happy to join the group.
Thanks

Hello!

I would like to try if it is possible but I'm not a reviewer.

Thank you!

I'd be interested as well. I run a Tarock meetup; we mostly play Slovenian and French, but we have given Hungarian a try!

First hand done with no problems! One thing that was a little confusing to me was the use of "R" for knight in the log: Obviously English doesn't have a tradition there, and I figured it might be for "Rider" - but at first I thought it was "Roi" - since I'm mostly used to playing Tarot with French indices.

Correct, R=Rider. Do you think it should be called Knight instead? (Perhaps represented by N, like in chess?)
