Well, like other games you can agree to abandon arena games if you don't want to play them, but why wouldn't you? Are you really motivated to play only by the arena ranking?!Prithvi wrote: ↑07 July 2020, 12:50Can you please let us cancel the arena games which we had tried to start? Or maybe cancel them system wide?Een wrote: ↑07 July 2020, 11:56Yes, it should not have been allowed in the first place, it was a mistake (like many other aspects of BGA, we have had to evolve our release process really quickly these last months due to the surge in interest). Arena is available only for fully released "stable" games.

Since Arena is disabled, no one else can join the game and there was the chance that it would be stuck there. But I managed to cancel it.Een wrote: ↑07 July 2020, 13:24Well, like other games you can agree to abandon arena games if you don't want to play them, but why wouldn't you? I meant for those where opponents where being searched.

Калах-6 самая стратегически богатая разновидность калаха, калах-4 самая примитивная. Не включить калах-6 в Арену - не уважать игру и игроков.
Re: Arena Season 2 - Games configuration changes (complete list)
Where may I submit my thoughts on changing the configuration of a specific game for the next season?
I am grinding Koi-koi lately, and a few rules make the game uninteractive, and I believe aren't suitable for a competitive ladder. (Albeit my lack of experience)
1) Winner starts the next round.
You know what, starting the game first probably already means you've won. Yes, regardless of how terribly my opponent is playing.
(The following is posted in the Koi-koi game forum by another fellow player, so it isn't original.)
2)Starting Multiplier setting coupled with Viewing Yaku
I don't really know if it's just me, maybe some experts may evaluate on this more. In essence, the game is a chance&gamble themed game, but good players who know how to defend really should be winning more. Individually I don't think these two are problems, but together it can be oppressive. The round starts as a *3, your opponent finishes a set in a move or two, now that feels strategic and skillful, hmm? In reality, forming a 5pt pair with two cards is silly and unrewarding, and the almighty sake cup somehow does the job of the viewing yaku set, animal set, and plains set. Somehow it's worth more than the bright cards. When I see it, I immediately take it. When my opponent takes it, I start defending like mad just to be ousted by one single card. That doesn't feel competitive. Not to mention that September also has a blue ribbon, which is valuable in its own right.
Ultimately, I am no expert, but many games I outplayed my opponent for 5 rounds just for them to luck out on turn six. Or they win 6 straight because of the winner starts next round rule, which is extremely oppressive. I would like to hear better players' thoughts on this; if they truly are issues that deprive competitive integrity, then it may deserve a change next season. Thanks for all the hard work, cheers!

Fully support the Koi Koi argument above ^ and I think there were a few threads in the Koi Koi forum discussing it too.

Re: Arena Season 2 - Games configuration changes (complete list)
finding correct information about arena is confusing. This list doesn't give the number of players needed for all game scenarios, nor does it share when the season starts and ends. Why isn't there an easy play now arena section where you can opt to play arena or pre-arena style games in th config of this seasons games so you can get the 100 elo needed to play in arena at all AND then all the games and configs would be hard coded and you could only play the official config of that season.
having to create and find my own tables to get the elo scores to even play in arean is annoying. Make it easier to play the arena configs casually to get the elo needed and then it is easier to switch into arena playing in the correct conifg already.
this could be so much nicer to new players of games who want to try for arena in new to them games but since it is so confusing it only encourages me to play games I already ahve elo scores for. Don't you want us playing more games we don't know yet?

Why three players on metromania, in real-time, is already hard for 2, why 3?

How are we supposed to find the season 1 configuration?sourisdudesert wrote: ↑06 July 2020, 14:05 Here is the complete list of all games configuration changes for the Arena Season 2 (compared to Season 1)
a) You don't link to it
b) It's not listed on the game pages themselves
c) It's not in the FAQ (The question itself "What is the 'competition configuration'?" is in the FAQ ... but it doesn't actually answer the question or provide any link to where it might be found!!)
d) "arena" is discarded as a search term on this site

Hello,
I just finished a game in Tzolkin and it ended by a draw. My opponent was 1st player ^^ he is in ELITE whereas I'm in silver, should'nt I win some arena points ?
