Can i make prototype games?

I am a software developer by profession but i design boardgames as a hobby. I want my friends and family to be able to play my games online. Is it ok for me to create it on BGA? (or do we have to pick up projects from the list)

Note: My games are not published as such, nor will they ever get published :p. I intend to give them aways as free PnPs on BGG
