Hi, I just wanted to say that the new version hurts my eyes. As an artist and website designer, I know the importance of contrast. If EVERYTHING is super saturated, nothing stands out. That's what I'm experiencing with the new version. I much prefer the old one, where the game pieces were a bit dull, but at least the followers stood out clearly, against them, perhaps with the exception of yellow. I just played a game where I could hardly see my red followers against the red farms that they were on.

I found this eye strain to be very unpleasant and it definitely makes me question whether I want to continue playing, as well as whether I want to continue with my membership, as Carcassonne is the only game that I'm playing, right now.

I would ask you to please consider returning to the old game pieces. I know I'm not the only one who is suddenly straining to see and having an unexpectedly unpleasant experience playing with the new version.

Thanks,
Mama Tigress

Oh with my I pad I can’t play anymore because it doesn’t load the game correctly, this bothers me a lot because it is the game I play the most and also the reason why I subscribed and payed the annual cost 😞
I had to quit a game right few minutes ago because it was impossible to play, I couldn’t see anything and also it was all slowed down. I read other people complaining about this so I really hope you will consider returning to the old version.
Thanks

It's just me having problems with the new Carcassonne graphics?
I can't making distinction between colours and shapes and my game is now slow and unpleasant... :o
Please, tell me I'm not the only one!

Thank you! ;)
You can switch to the old graphics from your options ;)
Hi! How can I do this? I can’t find anywhere this option.thanks

Unfortunately, pigs are not place-able after the update. Maybe it only affects games which were under way before the update, but no one can place a pig any longer. One player who had his pig down prior to the update is OK, the rest of us can't place it even when the field is occupied by our own farmer.

To be clear, the game had started prior to the update. The update was applied at the mid-way point. We are now nearing the end of the game. Pigs were place-able before the update, not after it was applied.

Please consider reading the thread and look at your options to use the old style.
It's the new graphics used by the publisher for their new version ;)

The new version has darker colors and more unnecessary details on the tiles. It is much less clear to see what is what.

Thanks for making some improvements.
I don't think I can complain because I'm not a member. I did manage to work out how to change back to original artwork. I also helped several of my opponents during the game, as they clearly were having problems with it e.g. my camouflaged red meeple.
If there's a way to inform all players that they can change back to original artwork then im sure that would be appreciated by many in your community.
Thanks for what you're doing.

On my safari it crashed multiple times with this update. Had to get out & back in the game each turn.
Eventually we had to stop the game cause another friend also in the game had the same issue and could not get back in...
