I thought I'd reflect, comment and "humble brag" about finally getting the "Nobel Prize" Achievement (Play ALL available games on BGA):
https://boardgamearena.com/award?award=57
Almost all of them I played "real-time" + automatic opponent (with strangers), usually over lunch or before I go to bed.
It has been an incredible experience and I encourage any game lover to go for it.
I also thought that if people knew there was an achievement for it, it might help them stay motivated to keep going for it.
I was also trying to *win* every game at least once, which made this achievement MUCH harder to get.
As reported as one of the must upvoted bugs (https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=453 + https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=3234 + possibly more)...
You don't get the "first win" achievement [and importantly for some, the +5 gift points] if your win is a "tie" or it's a "shared victory" (or someone quits, etc.).
In general, I'm okay with this behaviour but it would be REALLY nice for those "completionists" if an exception was made for games where it is _impossible_ to have a unique winner.
As far as I can tell, the list of current games where it's impossible to get a single player win are:
* Belote
* Caribbean All Fours
* Coinche
* Hanabi
* KQJ
* The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow
And I'm not sure about Werewolves... if there is a configuration where this is possible, please let me know.
So this is my plea to the BGA wizards to make an exception for those games and draw more attention to this BGA "bug".
There are a few that are very tricky to get the single player win -- the only elusive one where it's possible and I don't have it yet is "Secret Moon'.
