Question on moderation - I made a report against a player who played a game with himself at the last minute to win the Arena title for a game. The moderation determined that "******* has been found guilty" and "Give a simple warning (no penalty)". I'm glad the moderator agreed that the player was guilty but I think the punishment (a simple warning) was too lenient. Is there a way to reconsider the punishment or to provide clarification on why the punishment was so lenient? Thanks!

I am not a mod, but it seems like your attitude is one of wanting to prove your position right, rather than understand how you could be in error. An attitude like that tends to result in further moderation, to the point of being unable to communicate with others at all on the site -- no chat, no forum access, no private messages.

There are many such incidents and „non-actions“ from mods. The conclusions are that the current practice is useless, nobody cares, and many leaderboards and final standings are rigged by cheaters, so any competitive ambitions are pointless.

Don't insult people but if you do, don't add their nationality or race to the insult.

I don't know what penalty you would have got for calling him / her "arrogant" but I'm sure it would have been less.

That's unfortunate. I thought this was a very clear case of cheating and at a minimum the offending player should have the Arena title taken away from them. But apparently the moderators thought that a slap on the wrist was just fine.

Are there any punishments for moderators that apply unfair decisions? Moderators abuse their authority more and more and it will definetely impact the whole community

Even those that have been banned for a period of time due to blatantly cheating (like thousands of games that last a couple seconds each to push themselves to #1 in a dozen different games) don't get any of their trophies taken away or their Elo reset. And some don't even get banned at all and most continue to exploit it even after the guilty verdict and receive no additional punishment. It makes the competitive aspect of this site largely a joke.

Thanks, Sprockitz. I didn't realize that they were this lax with the moderation - I agree that it makes the competition aspect a joke.
