Out of time but not my turn?

Post by BreathofCepheus »

Hello, I've had a few games time me out which has subjected me to a loss in karma, however, when I check the game state it was not my turn nor was I notified I needed to play. I'm confused as I finished up all my moves for games not less than an hour or so ago and still got timed out just now. Just trying to avoid the frustration for everyone going forward if someone could help explain how the move timer works. Thank you!

Looking at the game you were most recently booted from, the important thing to notice is that it was a "4 turns per day" game, this means that each time you have a new turn you only get 6 hours added back onto the clock.
You were still negative on time from your previous turn, and it carried over.

I'm not sure how the turn order in Terra Mystics works, but it's possible that it became your turn again and you were then quickly booted before you were given the nofication.

I know I've seen other game where someone has gone over time, they come back take their turn but are still negative, it goes through the rest of the players, and the person before the person that ran out of time was there to see them be negative again at the start of the next turn and skipped then.
