Can you do a pit stop in solo mode in training?

I’m trying to test out different tires in the rain in training solo mode before trying in a real race and I’m not able to get the pit stop question to show up. I’m stopping in 1st gear on the side of a straight away (not a corner), but can’t get the pit stop to work.

I’ve tried both flat out and one dice at a time. I’ve tried both sides of the track.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Just found in the rules you can’t pit in solo mode. Bummer.

But, that means that if you get all of the gears (blacks dices) out, the race end?

Because, one day you will should still have to repair the car, right?
