Playing in the Classroom?

Post by PalookaBroho »

Hello everyone,

I use several board games (i.e. 7 Wonders, Stone Age, Puerto Rico) in my social studies classroom. The problem is that now my school has strict social distancing guidelines due to COVID and it will be hard to play physical games together. I was wondering, if I get a premium account for myself and free accounts for my students, will I be able to host games in my classroom and have all of my students join on their own devices?

Thanks for the help!

P.S. I teach at a small international school in Korea which is why our school is opening at all.

Thanks!

Sounds like I'll be getting a Premium membership.

Just to clarify (because I am in the same position as a teacher in Ontario who teaches board game design)... I will have students who are all physically in the same classroom (thus signing in from the same IP address) who would typically be playing physical games in the classroom, but will be unable to do so this semester due to physical distancing protocols. Will they still be able to play against each other if I have a premium account and set the games up for them? Or would they all need premium accounts to be able to play from the same IP address?

Only one premium account is needed, but that premium account must be playing at the table. You can't set up a table, open it to other players, and then leave to set up another table.
