My game Cacao is in alpha.
But some players have started the game in normal mode, tour by tour.
Unfortunately, my second release contained a database correction : all current games in "tour by tour" were broken.
Then I explain to players to quit the table, like explained in this text received by by email :
If you break some games in alpha, that's OK! Alpha is not supposed to be completely stable, and all games are launched in "Training mode" so users won't get any penalties. If players tell you that they are stuck in a crashed game, you should let them know that they can quit by going to the game table page with the URL boardgamearena.com/table?table=NNNNN (where NNNNN is the number of your table) and using the quit button.
But some players receive a penality !
And are not happy (https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=22539) !
Is this situation normal ?
There is a way to force the game to start in training mode only ?
