Why 10m? Games usually take less than that to fill.

Depends on the game. Some games on BGA take way longer than 10 minutes to fill. I agree that the estimated wait time is pretty useless though.

Maybe if it takes a rolling average of the time it took to start the last X number of games (maybe 100?) that might be a decent estimate. But it's just that, an estimate. Not sure it has much usefulness.
