How do i use the time-joker?

Post by Catweazle01 »

Hi,
i am on holydays for 2 weeks and i am not sure whether i would be able to play there.

How and when do i set the time-joker?
When i click on the link there comes a message. "do you really want?" - this sound like something dangerous will happen.

What is the joker doing?
Am i logged out for ? days now?
Can i set a date from till date to?

i didn't find some explainations in faq and other parts of the website here.

The reason that a confirmation message of "do you really want to do this" comes up is that each player has a limited number of jokers available. Using one should be a conscious decision, not a misclick.

So, you have found the location of where to use one.

What it does is add 96 hours (4 days) to the thinking time of the clocks of all of your turn-based games.

You are not logged out for that time. You are able to make moves if you want to. (I am unsure what happens to your clock if you are above the maximum normal time. I believe it would stay where it is, not lower to the normal maximum.)

Time jokers are an immediate 4 extra days. They cannot be set to do something like "in 2 days, give me 3 extra days."

I would highly suggest that you immediately post a message in all of your tables of what dates you will be gone and apologize for any slow down in play. This will make it less likely that you will be kicked from the game if you run out of time. However, remember that you made a commitment to play the game in a timely manner and that you most likely knew your holidays were coming up when you made that commitment. Complaining that you got kicked and lost the game and some reputation will do no good.

Thanks. I have calculated correct, but lot players need a longer time as i thought.
