Can you name me some games where friends can play as partners.

I'm assuming you are talking about BGA games even though you posted in the non-BGA topics forum.. :)

Innovation is a great game, and you can set teams based on when you join the table.

Most other games that I know of that have teams assign them randomly.

Hi!

If you like card games: Belote, Coinche (4 players only 2 vs 2).
A classic game: Tock (4 players 2 vs 2, 6 players 2 vs 2 vs 2 or free-for-all 2 to 6 players).

Like Innovation, you can set custom teams as table admin in the options (default is random).

Also: Not Alone if both you and your friend as survivors and someone else plays the creature (you must find a table where the admin is willing to plays the creature, otherwise the creature selection will be random...).

I think there are plenty more I did not mention :)

Most 2/5 complexity games and below:

Full coop: Room 25, Hanabi
1vAll: Room 25, Not Alone
2+v2+: Room 25, Saboteur, Secret moon, Werewolves, Armadora
FFA but with lots of coop between players: Diamant, Celestia (Love letter?)
