Dungeon Roll is in Beta

Post by MGoulet »

Hi !

After more than 1000 tables played and 28 reviews with an average rating of 4.84 stars, Dungeon Roll is finally available to everyone !

This is a game for 1 to 4 players, best in 2-3 players setup. This game is a push your luck like the game "I Can't Stop" but with a Dungeons and Dragons theme. In 3 round (delve), you must explore a maximum of level, collect treasures and defeat monsters. If you wake up the Dragon, well ...... good luck =).

At 1 player, the game is played under 10 minutes. The game works ver well in turn by turn play.

The game include :
* Mirror Match (same character for all players)
* Base game heroes
* Expansion #1 (Hero Booster Pack #1)
* Promo (Time Traveler and Guild Leader)

Thanks again for all the reviewers and testers who help me to improve this game. This is my first one and I pretty proud of the result.

When quaffing a potion, you're only allowed to get what's in the graveyard, right? At the moment, you're able to pick whichever die you want.

In the rulebook, in the section 2B (Loot Phase / Quaff Potions), it is written :

"For each Potion quaffed the Adventurer takes 1 Party die from the Graveyard and adds it to her active party, choosing its face."

Before coding the game, I was thinking the same thing as you. =)

When playing with fast settings it may be not enough time, if you achieve 10 level. Maybe adding a bit time (about 10-15 second) after each level would make sense.

Es wäre schön, wenn wie meim spiel die Karte mit der Zusammenfassung hinzugefügt werden könnte. Wo man sieht wie man die Monster töten kann. Danke!

Liebe Grüße

There is a tooltip on each dice, tokens and heroes. Just over the item with your mouse or double tap and hold on an IPad

Hi!

Dungeon Roll is great and super quick to play :)

I noticed a small error in the final scoring regarding Town Portals and Dragon Scales.
Town Portals should be worth 2XP each if unused (instead of the usual 1XP of other treasures).
Dragon Scales should be worth 2XP each if you have more than one, instead of only 1XP.
At the moment both score as 1XP, as any other treasure.

Thanks!

hi!
I just played a game, and I think there's NO INTERACTION between players? only compare scores and that's all?

Correct, no direction interaction or direct impact between players, kind of like Yathzee -- try to get the best score during your turns, and whoever scores higher wins!

At first I thought this was a mistake too but it's actually just a quirk of how the scores are calculated. Town Portals and Scales each give 1XP, like any other treasure, and then SEPARATELY you get +1XP for each Town Portal and +2XP for each pair of Dragon Scales. So the total points do work out at they should. Portals and Scales are scored both as regular treasures and also give their bonus points separately.

See the screenshot attached:
  • I have six treasures (including one portal and three scales) for a total of 6XP
  • I have one Portal for one additional bonus of 1XP (meaning my Portal was worth 2XP, one as a treasure and one as a Portal bonus)
  • I have three Scales, scored at 2XP per pair, thus one additional bonus of 2XP
