Arena mode and Levels

Do the settings for restricting choice of opponents by level (At, Near, Close, Far) work for Arena games? If so, what are the settings to prevent Bronze-level players from joining a game that has been started by an Elite-level player?

This will depend entirely on the game and how many levels there are in arena mode. In a game where the only levels are bronze and elite you would have to choose play against your level only.
