I've read somewhere that an alternative for competitive turn-lover gamers will be developed soon. Sorry but... then why removing turn-based Arena BEFORE having the alternative?

I agree with all previous complains, crazy overkill decision, some soft fixes should have been tried first.

Edit: thanks for the quick update !

But for now this is a real big blow to my experience. I wasn't hyper competitive in Arena so if people were cheating that sucks but it didn't bother me that much. I just like to compete a little and see how I was doing against players who took things a little more seriously than just the regular games.
Totally agree with this. Such a shame that the few spoil it for the many.

I am very disappointed by the removal of turn-based from Arena games. That was easily my favorite way to play. I will use the website much less now, I think.

Also disappointed. Playing Sapiens arena turn-based was my favourite thing to do, and now it's gone :( It's pretty impossible to get a real time game as there just aren't enough people playing.

please could you try and find another way to satisfy the competitive urges of people who can't play live?

I liked playing several games at once on Arena.
sometimes finding a player took few days for games that are not popular and that I like.
They will not be played any longer on Arena as finding a player will be impossible.
But that's something minor.
The biggest problem I see are games that takes in real life longer then 90 minutes.
I just won't be playing them.
You took some joy today from me.

I completely agree with him !!!
I can't wait opponent for a long time.
I don't have much time all together.
I have a few minutes scattered in many moments of the day

It's great to be decisive, but making Arena 3 real-time only was a really bad decision. It was made much too quickly and without adequate consideration of the consequences. Even worse, it fails to address the underlying concern: that BGA isn't committed to dealing with players who cheat.

Dear all,

Following your feedback on turn-based Arena, we created a dedicated post to find a good solution and maybe to get turn-based Arena back.

Just KICK the CHEATERS! I think they're easily identifiable!

Also, if turn-based games represent only 7% of the games, I can't see how they can be this huge issue...

Turn-base players are simply people who HAVE NO TIME to play real time. They'd like to, but they just can't. Most of them are not kids. They HAVE kids! They have jobs, responsibilities and all. The great thing of BGA is give board games the dignity to be considered suitable for adults, and not just for little kids. The Arena was the perfect way to play in the spare time, and find an adequate number of opponents, which are not granted in any other way.

If you can't put Arena back, you should at least greatly improve the TOURNAMENT mode, which at the moment is very confused (especially when it comes to understand if you're going to play swiss, round robin or elimination) and poor in the "search" section, not mentioning the fact that you can only play 2-players games, which is a big steeple for a lot of games. Said by a player who created and run hundreds of tournaments BEFORE Arena came!
