Trying to find Arena games....

I am trying to find a Arena turn-based game for Colorettto. I've never played Arena before with Colorettto.
I play with either 2,3, or 4 moves per day.
My game has been searching for 2 opponents for a few days now. Which means not even 1 other player has taken it up.

There are currently 262 people in the Colorettto league with Silver or higher.

Can someone explain what is happening here?

Also does everyone get relegated a division at the end of each season? Which means that everyone in Elite must have been playing quite a few games already....

Can you check whether you've restricted your settings to play with only players at your level? (Bronze)

I just checked, I don't have that restriction.

I didn't know that existed.

Based on the "average waiting time", (which I believe is based off simple games and not actually reliable), I'd guess that everyone else must have just have the default 1 move a day selected, and therefore end up skipping you. Although I'm not actually sure, as I've yet to join that game in arena yet this season - although I managed to find two games near the end of last season fairly easily.

The default is also to have 2 moves a day so that matches with my settings.

Even though 2 moves per day is in default selection, at least for me it only creates a 1 move per day table. Then after a few hours without a match, it creates 3 moves per day table. And then after a few hours, a 4 moves per day table. It never creates a 2 moves per day table, but I don't know if I would join one if it had started.

I just started a 1 turn per day game of Coloretto, so something is certainly up.
(As in I created the table 2 hours ago and it just filled)

When Arena mode was first introduced I was only ever matched up with one other player. No matter how long I waited. Other users were able to play multiple games with multiple opponents during my wait.

I'm not having this issue anymore though.

Hmmm...Interesting, thx for the replies.

The table that's open says 4 moves a day, and there is only 1 table.

In my notifications it says that it was almost 5 days ago it started:

with another currently waiting created on the 10/18

I guess this is yet another strange bug. :sigh:

Other games seem fine, I have joined Lewis & Clark and Legendary Investors which are both 3-player this season.

tl;dr;

If you DON'T have the default 1 move per day, then you may well be skipped a LOT!

I think I have a small in-sight as to what might be happening here:

I've just watched a Madeira arena table try to fill up over the last week or so. Madeira is 4-player this season.

So slowly, 1 player joined, and then a few days passed he left and another joined, and another, etc, and eventually we're up to 3, just 1 more needed.
A day later.......and BOOM!
It's back to just me alone. The others were joined on a different 'X moves a day' schedule with different players, and their tables all started up leaving me on my lonesome.

So the penny dropped, only the most 'favourite' move-per-day times are going to win, especially when everyone usually doesn't change the default settings. It's easy to tell this if you just look at all the 1-move-per-day tables in standard mode.

2-player games may not suffer quite so badly, there is a much higher chance that you'll find just 1 other person with an overlap of settings, but if you need 3 other players all simultaneously that haven't changed away from the default setting, then the probability is going to be that much more difficult.

It should be fairly easy to check, by comparing the average move-per-day setting with the average move-per-day arena games.
