Bohnanza is now available in Alpha! Bohnanza is a card game where you are a farmer trying to trade, plant and harvest beans for gold.

The trading interface has been tricky for this game. Not sure if it is quite right yet, so looking for ideas to hash out (UI or other scenarios).

If it helps here are the scenarios that were thought of for trading (where AP = active player/trader, and NAP = non-active player)

- ap post offer
- nap post offer
- ap/nap cancel own offer
- nap try to match ap offer
- nap try to match other nap offer
- ap decline nap offer
- ap match/accept nap offer
- ap counter nap offer
- wait for other offers as ap
- wait for other offers as nap
- wake up others
- done trading as nap
- done trading ap

Please note this implementation follows Amigo v5 rule.

Outstanding! Can’t wait to try it. I never thought I’d see this game on BGA precisely because of the trading/negotiation element. As you say, nailing that part down is critical, and hopefully will make it easier for developers to bring more games with a negotiation element into BGA. Lords of Vegas, anyone?

Yo this is great news!
I joined the review group--can you set up the ability to discuss in that group?

I feel like this game needs live play to test it out.

Once it is ready, it also will play better between friends with live play (I tend to play with friends on laptop with factime on our phones for example).

That said, besides offers, is there a Anyone have this? button? And does the negotiation easily allow free giveaways? In my group we always say I'll give you this and expect future consideration knowing that it isn't binding...

I know this game keeps having shifting rules for whatever reason.

There is no future considerations or anything around 'anyone have' at the moment, but am open to ideas. would need to figure out how/where to display such concepts.

For what it’s worth, I agree that it would be nice to have an “Anyone have... / I’m looking for...” option, along with an “Anyone want... / I’m willing to trade...” option.

Hersh - do you want us to formally request this stuff via the Bug reporting system? I would think that would be best re: tracking everything and getting into the minutiae.

Can I get my gaming group added to the players group? we've played this in person and enjoyed it, but haven't met in person since early March and would love a crack at this! Especially if we can help it get to Beta sooner
