Friend offline/online message

Is there an option to stop putting friend online/offline notices on the game log? it takes up so much space on the game log it's annoying. I looked in settings but couldn't find anything.

I agree with the OP that these online/offline notifications can be very annoying. I will occasionally get friended by someone and i feel like a complete crumbum when i apologize for not friending them back because I cannot stand those notifications.

An alternative that could make the whole friending thing work (along with the ability to opt out of the notifications) is to have a Friends bulletin board button over on the right of one's profile page. When i click on it I would see the latest noteworthy achievements from my friends such as when they achieve Good Player rank or higher for the first time in a game, win a tournament, reach platinum level or higher in Arena, etc. i might click on something like that several times a year.
