I'm here just to mention why new version is better than old one.
1. I don't have cell phone screen big enough to play stacked players hand layout. Therefore every time I do some neck exercises to read player's names which is good for my health.
2. Some clue bookmark colors (white) are hard to recognize so it makes me check and match the picture of seashell, sea stars and other underwater world so I improve my biology knowledge.
3. In old version to give a clue to Player I needed to press one of 10 easy buttons (number or color). But now I have pop-up window with sometimes over 20 options which is so interesting to scroll and look for correct one. It's such a big pleasure when you avoid misclick.
4. Thanks for remove that horrible thing when all hands replenish from the same direction and make it more interesting. Hope next update you'll make it from the middle of hand as well just for fun.
5. And of course I couldn't avoid mention scrolling screen up and down million times to check every clue as possible finesse. It makes my favorite game last much longer and I appreciate it.

Excellent job!

Basically, you destroyed a nice and simple game with this new interface, in fact from mobile I think Hanabi is no longer playable.
I hope you'll revert this version with the previous one and just add the new play modes

Proposals:

1. Make the stacked version DEFAULT! This is much easier for everyone to use. No-one wants "around the table" for Hanabi. It is much easier to understand the system where cards are in one row.

2. Giving clues should work entirely differently. Place the numbers and colors on one corner as before (maybe on top of the players stack) .
Or when you click on a players' cards, display ALL possible clues in a pop-up. Similarly to before. Then it is always 2 clicks and no "verbose BS". I do not want to read, I want to give a clue as quickly as possible. My average turn times went from 1:30 to 3:00. Every game feels just horrible now.
The old way is quickest because you know what clue you want to give. And you see where the clue button are AND they never change location. If you start clicking on the player FIRST and then opening the pop-up AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION EVERY TIME, it adds to the confusion, having to locate the button to click next.

Please find a way to provide both options, and revert to original if you have to pick one.

While some of the changes seem like logical improvements (love the game and convention variants in the lobby), the execution in-game is very unwieldy. There are now more steps required to play and clue cards. Also, to read the table (ie all the hands) I have to look around the entire screen and slightly alter the orientation in my head for each hand to interpret. For a game predicated on efficiency, which draws in people that love to optimize things, this is a major setback and barrier to the joy of creative clueing.

Vote to change. Happy to help in the design process. Likely to play much less often or go to hanabi.live if this continues to be such a poor interface.

5 players + stacked is extreme, but 5 players with "around the table" display fits nicely, even in a smartphone.

I wish u good luck to play at 5 in "around table" mode.... No,it cant be, u have to make that in full sreen u can play in stacked mode.

I've played this before as an alpha tested, but this was not ready for release and the problems we mentioned while testing still persists:

1. Right/left play bug
2.Need to scroll down on my PC, forget playing this on mobile
3. My cards play automatically when I click to discard
4. The bomb clues are not very obvious and the discard pile has small letterings.

Please bring back the older version and send this back to alpha. Our favorite game is currently unplayable because you released this version without fixing the bugs first. Makes BGA look totally unprofessional.

Wow. Why would they make it public at all then? This is just so wrong on so many levels :D

This needs to be reverted until more testing and changes are done. I know you worked hard on it, but if you ignore this feedback you will lose most of the Hanabi players here.
